Graze Evaluation
I'm really pleased with how this brief turned out, and i'm happy I have submitted it to YCN. I always think the pressure of entering a competition brief means you try harder and try to produce work to a higher standard, purely for the reason you are competing against so many others and also the pressure that so many people could end up viewing your work.
As this was the first brief I fully completed due to the competition deadline, it gave me that push to work harder on the rest of my briefs to get them to this stage by working at a quicker pace. I always seem to start off briefs very slowly before I get round to designing and developing, but due to this brief (and D&AD) both having tighter deadlines, I learnt that it is much better to move quickly. I gained more confidence from working like this as I proved to myself that I am capable. I also found that working at this quicker pace means you get the time to make mistakes, learn from them and they can still be resolved, rather than running out of time. It also means your briefs don't drag out and you don't end up getting bored which I have found in previous modules.
I felt when I initially started this brief that there wasn't actually too much you could do with it due the the brief restrictions being quite tight (you couldn't change the format of the packaging etc) however I feel what I came out with was very concept driven as well as focusing on the visual aspect so this made me feel I had took the brief further than just a simple re-design.

Mailshot
What needs to be included in the mailshot:
- What Graze is
- How it works
- How to get it
- What it looks like
- Delivery info
- Price
- Info on the foods you can get
- A message which lets people know the materials used for the boxes and booklets are all made from sustainable sources and are all recyclable.
- To encourage people to sign up to Graze i'm going to include a code to get the first box free.
- I will include my plantable seed paper to make the mailer more exciting and interactive. It will hopefully get people to pay more attention rather than discard it as junk mail.
- I want to show how the grow your own box is a new addition to Graze and promote this in the mailer
The info book I received with my first Graze box has some useful info which I can include in my mailer:

New change of timetable:
I moving forward my Waitrose brief as i'd like to have this in the yearbook, this means I have two weeks to get as much as possible done for this. I will still be finishing off the Graze brief as the submission to YCN is also on the 30th March. I will be putting the rest of my Ministry of Sound brief on hold for now.

Inside of Box
This would be the inside of the box. The tree roots would be printed on the bottom and the food tubs placed over this, its not a brilliant mock up but you can kind of get the gist of the idea!
I'm currently working on how the instructions could be laid out within this design.
This is a mock up to show how the nutrition cards will work. When you open the graze box there is a piece of card placed on top showing the welcome note (this will be the plantable seed paper):
(add variations on issuu)
On the other side of the welcome card the is the nutritional information for the snacks you have received inside the box. The outlines to the cards will be perforated so you can push them out and have four separate cards. These are the cards that will then be placed inside the plastic tubs once they are empty to grow the herbs:
I have illustrated instructions to show how the seed cards work and what to do with them:
Idea: going with the idea of growth I figured the inside of the box could be an illustration of a tree and the instructions are placed on the branches. I'll see how this works.

Coca-Cola Argentina wanted to announce the launch of its new, and first ever, 100% PET recyclable plastic bottle made partially from plants.
We developed an out of the ordinary press kit. We thaught that if this bottle was a 100% recyclable, then we should make a 100% recyclable press kit. Then we did so.
The press kit was all included in a natural, friendly environment, bag. Inside you could find some dirt, wheatgrass seeds, a coca-cola plant bottle and a gas cap with holes so that you could use your PET bottle as a watering can.
So, after a few days your press kit was a little wheatgrass garden, which by the way, you could process it and drink it if you wanted to.
