Waitrose New Photos
I've taken a few new photographs of the Waitrose range to add in my new products:
You can see here the hessian bags are very very small! However they do fit the spice jars perfectly which looks quite good.

I also re-photographed the bottles as my last images of these didn't turn out too great:
Mug Labels
I have some black mugs which i've made some tags for and when I photograph them I will be mocking up my patterns onto them.

Hessian Bags
I ordered some black hessian bags for the range which would be sold as the 'bags for life' to carry shopping in. Again to get more use out of my patterns I thought they would look really good printed onto the bags and rather than having a bag featuring supermarket logos like most, these would just be patterned and therefore people would want to buy and use them for many other purposes than just carrying shopping home.

However slight dilema that they have arrived a lot smaller than I was expecting. I still want to use them as I think they look really cute and could maybe be a kind of gift bag and contain the spices as this would be good to use as presents. Or the other option is I can propose they are the larger sized bags and maybe take/edit my photos in such a way they look the right kind of size.
I've also had a thought that my Waitrose Kitchen Exclusives range could expand even further into homeware so for example applying my patterns to mugs and glasses, plates, bowls etc.
Expanding Waitrose
From the crit last week it was suggested I make use of my patterns by applying them to kitchen textiles such as tea towels, aprons and oven gloves etc. I think this is such a perfect idea to expand my Waitrose product range and also great as I was trying to think of an idea to further use my patterns as it took such a long time to create them all.
I looked all over to try and find a plain black oven glove and tea towels suitable for screen printing my coloured patterns onto but it proved very difficult to get hold of these!
I've managed to get hold of some little towels in perfect colours to match my labels, however due to them being the fluffy kind of towelling material I can't print onto them so have decided I will just mock up the patterns onto my photos using photoshop.

Again I couldn't get hold of a plain black oven glove so I have used my sewing skills to cover one I had with some material!

Jars
Jars I will be using for the packaging.
I've ordered two of these 1.5ltr Kilner jars for the pasta:
I've been collecting these coffee jars for a while (sad I know) but I think they are really cute and have finally come in perfect use for this brief. These will be used for the tea, coffee and sugar:
