Self Reflection:
Things to consider:
- Research from an informed point of view - go in knowing what you're talking about, what you want to find out, how this will benefit.
- But present from an uninformed point of view - don't expect you're audience will know what you're talking about.
- Fundamentals of packaging - what is it for, who uses it, how is it printed/crafted, what are the budgets - don't just focus on the visual aspect
- Remember that much of the worked looked at so far could just be concepts - think about how packaging exists in the real world - think about it in context not just nice product photography.
- Start from the basics - although I have an interest in more up-market packaging design, I need to consider budgets, the purpose of the packaging, who it is for, where it will be.
